Jorge Miranda
Doctor in Law in the Legal and Political Sciences area in 1979 by the Lisbon University, is being since 1985 Cathedratic Professor Faculties of Law of the Lisbon University and of the Portuguese Catholic University. Was one of the founders of the Constitutional Law Portuguese Association and is member of several Portuguese and international scientific organizations, amongst which the GROUPE D’ETUDES ET DE RECHERCHES SUR LA JUSTICE CONSTITUTIONNEL (headquartered in Aix-en-Provence) and the ACADEMIA EUROPAE (headquartered in London).

Professor emeritus (2008). Professor with Life Tenure in the Faculty of Law of the Lisbon University. Member of the European Public Law Group (based in Athens). Admission as tenured professor in the field of Legal-Political Sciences in the Faculty of Law of the Lisbon University in 2006. PhD in law in the Faculty of Law of Lisbon University in 1987. Complementary studies in Political and Economic studies (equivalent to M.A.) in the Faculty of Law of the Lisbon University in 1968.
