Tiago Fidalgo de Freitas is a Guest lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon and a Ph.D. researcher at the European University Institute (Florence, Italy). On that capacity, he has been a Visiting doctoral researcher at the Getúlio Vargas Foundation School of Law (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). Beforehand, he completed an LL.M. at New York University School of Law (New York City, USA) as a Hauser Global Scholar, and has taught as a Guest lecturer at the Portuguese Catholic University School of Law. He also holds the Diploma of the Academy of European Public Law (Legraina, Greece) and a law degree, magna cum laude, from the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon. Tiago is admitted to the Portuguese Bar Association and his research interests encompass constitutional law and politics, fundamental rights adjudication, and national and global administrative law. Among his publications we should mention "The public model: ICAO’s standards and recommended practices", "Global administrative law. Cases, materials, issues", the book Direito da concorrência e ordens profissionais (co-authored with J. M. Sérvulo Correia, Rui Medeiros and Rui Lanceiro) and the book chapter "O princípio da proibição de retrocesso social".
